Look. So this spiral, this is the golden ratio and it’s a mathematical pattern that just repeats itself in nature… in flower petals and honey bees and, you know, the stars in the galaxy and.. and in every molecule of our DNA.
OK, but…it’s the way she says it. It’s how Cosima sees the world. Flower petals, and honey bees, and the stars in the galaxy. It’s the wonder for all of it, big and small. The magic of it.
It’s the reason she can smile at a trained killer who once hunted them and tell her how beautiful she is. It’s the fascination in her eyes watching her own surgery. It’s the studied examination of her hand against Delphine’s and the joy of cold air burning her lungs after stealing a bottle of wine. It’s love, despite betrayal. It’s the vibrating curiosity every time a new clone comes into their lives. It’s those hands, reaching out to experience it all, big and small.
The sheer wonder of it.
I strive to be more like Cosima in my life.
